Secure Solutions Group Limited (SSGL) was established in 2012 as a partnership, before growing into a limited company in 2017. The service is run by 2 directors, Joseph (CQC Registered Manager) with a background within the NHS including the ambulance service, and Edward with a background in psychology and international business.
We initially started by providing healthcare staff as an agency, closely followed by manned response cars for NHS Bloods and Transplant, and medical cover for national events. In 2020 when the pandemic hit, we saw a huge rise in the need for Patient Transport Services (PTS) for COVID patients, and for mental health-specific PTS, so we stepped up and became a registered independent ambulance service to deliver these services ourselves. And so, SSGL Medical was born, along with more services.

SSGL Medical developed from the idea of innovation and a desire to raise the standards within patient transport solutions. When we look to innovate, we are ultimately looking to make changes in something established. Although this is somewhat a risk for a newer service like ours to do, we strongly believe in leading by example and delivering the results of our forward thinking.

We specialise in providing innovative, holistic secure patient transport with positive outcomes, and contracted patient transport services that deliver impressive KPI's that have a positive impact on the NHS Trusts we work with.

We are registered with the Care Quality Commission (CQC) to deliver Patient Transport Services (PTS), including standard PTS for discharges and transfers, and Secure Patient Transport Services. We're carbon-neutral too!

We have a fleet of reliable vehicles, from Wheelchair Access Vehicles (WAVs) to stretcher and bariatric Ambulances, able to support NHS Trusts, independent Ambulance Service partners, and private clients. We deliver safe and effective care, that is both responsive and well-led by experienced and passionate management.

We offer both ad-hoc PTS and contracted PTS, for both short-term and long-term periods. We specialise in providing very well-managed services that exceed KPI's that our clients set, and provide exceptional value for money for the service that they receive. Event, Venue, Production Medics

HCP-Led Medical Services
Our HCP-led Medics are experts in their field and in both emergency and non-emergency situations, managing welfare autonomously. We are trusted by dozens of clients nationally, ranging from sporting events like British Cycling and Race for Life to yearly festivals and weekly music venues at venues across the UK.
Our Production Medics operate across the UK, including in London, Yorkshire, and Manchester, and even across Europe for all types of productions from adverts to film sets.

Our other HCP-led medical services are extensive and include access to a bank of our own HCPC Registered Paramedics, NMC Registered Nurses, GMC Registered Doctors, and an array of ambulance staff. Projects have included providing HCP's for screening TV show applicants, supporting active Cryonics cases in the UK and Europe, and performing drug and health checks for boxers and cyclists before big events. Secure Patient Transport
We provide extensively trained highly experienced competent, and fully-equipped staff, who can deliver secure care, including bedwatch, and the transport of both compliant and non-compliant individuals including those with LD's or in crisis. We cover 135 warrant executions, high-risk PICU transfers, Section 2, 3, and 37/41 transfers, CTO recalls, DoLS, CAMHS, and informal transfers. We ensure a safe and successful transition with emphasis on de-escalation and 'no-pain, no-panic' interventions from highly trained professionals. We have a very high success rate where others may have failed to help.

Our service is a member of the Restraint Reduction Network and provides British Institute of Learning Disability (BILD) accredited training in de-escalation techniques as well as safe use of control and restraint methods as a last resort using the latest NICE guidelines for true person-centered care, get in touch to book today.

We offer a 24/7 response, for the delivery of blood and essential medical supplies for both NHS Trusts and private partners. We can, for example, transport blood, organs, biological samples, surgical instruments, medical notes, drugs, radioactive materials and breast milk.

All our trainers have years of real-life experience in the medical training they deliver, and bring the training to life. We deliver all our accredited 'classroom' training in-house.

At present, we are not offering training to the public, as we continue to deliver award-winning accredited training to new recruits and existing staff, including a 12-week training and induction program for our Secure Transport teams.
